Winintone RG-EB601
ø8mm Dynamic Driver
Another interesting find by a brand that does unfamiliar but high quality audio equipment - Winintone. I picked the stunning RG-EB601 and managed to buy it on AliExpress just before it went out of stock.
These earphones are not just well-built and premium-looking, they are also good-sounding. The sub-bass is pounding and the mid-bass is thick and full. The mids are crisp, but slightly overpowered by the sharp highs. The loudness is high even on low-power sources.
This review focuses on the silver filters, because the black filters sound the same and the golden filters sound pathetic.
NOTES:
- The filters included with KZ ED9 can also be used with these earphones for additional sound signatures.
- The filters included with KZ GR cannot be used with these earphones, but you can use the filters included with these earphones with KZ GR.
- The golden filters are identical to the black filters included with HZSOUND M001.
Pros
- A brilliant sound quality. The bass is massive, the mids are loud and clear and the highs are energetic.
- Very premium design and materials. The build quality is superb.
Cons
- The vocals get slightly pushed back and get sibilant because of the peaks in the high frequencies.
- The black filters sound just like the silver filters, and the golden filters are simply useless.
- Since there is no inline remote, it's difficult to differentiate between left and right channels. The only instant way is by checking the R and L markings on the strain reliefs.
- The 3.5mm plug is long, which makes you worry about not breaking it by accident.
- No proper retail packaging.

With the included tips, you might have to push these earphones deeper than you usually would. consider trying different, preferable wide-bore tips for a better seal and some extra detail in the highs. Overall, these earphones are very comfortable and there's nothing wrong with their shape or weight.
The bass is quite deep, precise and controlled, but doesn't go too deep on the sub-bass range, unless you have some EQ involved. Still, the fact that it doesn't get distorted on higher volumes, and that it's so punchy and precise is more than enough.
The mids are clear, loud and tonally precise. However, they tend to get pushed back by piercing highs. Sibilance is quite normal with these earphones on above-medium volumes.
The highs are sharp and quite enjoyable, but their peaks are quite noticeable when vocals get slightly sibilant.
