Ivery IV-7
ø10mm Dynamic Driver
I have to admit, I got these earphones for the laughs. I wasn't expecting something that looks like a toy to sound that good. Probably the best-sounding Ivery branded earphones. Sound-wise, these earphones are perfect mostly for bassheads. They sound very similar to PLEXTONE X41M, but maybe slightly less warm.
I wish I could just take those drivers and place them into decent metallic housings with a soft braided cable...
Pros
- An ironically amazing sound quality with a warm sound signature, without the bass leaking to the mids too much. Very fun and bass-heavy sound.
- A unique and otherworldy design.
Cons
- The mids are slighly darker than I would like.
- The overall build quality is poor, especially the plastic inline remote and the cheap cable.
Ear Tips - Single-Flange:
Housings:
Plastic (glossy), ø5mm nozzles, no strain reliefs
Remote:
Plastic (glossy), single-button
Y-Split:
Metal, soft strain relief
Cable:
TPE, 114cm, soft, mildly bent
Plug:
Metal, straight, short, soft strain relief
Got a good fit with the pre-applied M-size tips, but you might have a trouble because the included tips are somewhat slippery.
Impressively deep bass, with a massive sub-bass that can be felt vibrating inside your ears even at 10Hz. On bass shaker test, the bass was slightly noisy on higher than medium volumes, but was very nice on moderate volumes. Even so, it's not something you will normally encounter while listening to music.
The mids are slightly off-tone, on the darkish side, but it's very common with bass-oriented earphones.
The highs are loud and crisp, not piercing on a headache-inducing level.
