boarseman K25S
ø15.4mm Dynamic Driver
Once again, boarseman proved that they don't release bad products, no matter how cheap they are. I haven't seen much attention given to boarseman's K25S earbuds, and that's a shame. They might not be as bassy as models like Vido MX500, despite the very similar sound signature, but their clarity and mid-forward sound actually made me like these earbuds more than most bassy ones.
I wholeheartedly recommend these earbuds to all earbud fans.
NOTE: Not to be confused with boarseman K25 which use opaque housings that might affect the sound signature significantly, even if they both implement the same driver.
Pros
- One of the best-balanced and clearest-sounding earbuds in my collection.
- More visually appealing than most cheap earbuds.
- A very affordable price.
Cons
- A relative lack of sub-bass.
- Might be uncomfortable to wear for many, given their bulky housings.

I find most earbuds quite uncomfortable, and they tend to put pressure on my ears after a while. These earbuds' housings are very generic and used for many other earbuds, so there isn't anything special about the lack of ergonomics with these earbuds.
The bass is very well-balanced and there doesn't seem to be much of an overemphasis on any specific bass frequency, which means the sound remains as clean from muddiness as possible. Granted, the moderate bass response also means that these earbuds go easy on the sub-bass, and when added to the fact that these are earbuds, you might not hear a lot of sub-bass with these earbuds. With that being said, these earbuds don't lack warmth at all. Vocals are warm and full, but not nossy/bloated like other earbuds in my collection.
The mids are wonderful. They are crispier and brighter compared to earbuds like Yinyoo Tank and Vido MX500, and yet not overemphasized to the point of being fatiguing. Probably some of the best mids I've come across in the earbuds market.
Another highlight of these earbuds is the super-clear treble, and it's gentle and non-fatiguing at the same time. Of course, all of this is relative to other earbuds in my collection, and can't be compared to in-ear headphones that usually perform better in terms of detailed treble. And yet, for such a low price, these earbuds' treble is still very impressive, and you can't go wrong with these if you prefer earbuds over in-ears.
