WRZ M2

ø10mm Dynamic Driver

0.5/5.0

It's important to explore the brand's history. You will be surprised how many low-end brands turned into top budget-class brands, and it seems that WRZ are one of them.

The M2 are one of the brand's first earphones. Merely by measuring their frequency response, I already concluded: What a disaster these earphones are. These are literally some of the worst budget earphones you can buy. The upper-mids are absolutely exaggerated and headache-inducing. The sound is extremely unnatural and distorted, and I won't waste any more time talking about them, so just avoid these earphones at all costs.

With that being said, look at WRZ now with their WRZ X7 model. They have completely outdone themselves!

Pros

  • Shiny metallic housings.
  • Very simple, but effective build quality.

Cons

  • The sound quality is ridiculous and the sound signature is unnatural. The mids are overemphasized and difficult to listen to. Headache-inducing.
  • Cheap and flimsy packaging.

Comfort & Fit

There's nothing especially comfortable about these simple-shaped earphones. They are quite comfortable, I had no issues with getting a good seal. However, there isn't much assurance that they would hold while moving. I will give credit for the very nice pre-applied M-size tips.

Lows / Bass

Pretty distorted and hollow-sounding lows. Slightly rattles on the bass shaker test, specifically on lowest frequencies. It's difficult to concentrate on the lows while the mids are damaging your hearing.

Mids / Vocals

Overemphasized in a very unnatural way. Somewhat dark, distorted and mainly painfully loud. Sounds like someone is shouting directly into your ears.

Highs / Treble

The highs lack brightness and reproduce no detail. Some chimes can be hears sometimes, but that's about it.
