VJJB N1
2 x Ø6mm Dynamic Drivers

Seems like VJJB are not done improving their products. The amazing VJJB K4S, which had slightly piercing highs, were already close to perfection, and the N1 are only pushing the potential forward!

The N1 are a proof of the concept that amazing earphones can be bought for a laughably low price. And if the great sound isn't enough, these earphones will potentially serve for years, thanks to their replaceable cable (and you get two of them!), which is super-durable as it is!

If you haven't already had the pleasure to own a pair of VJJB N1, hurry up!

NOTE: The sound signature suspiciously resembles that of HOLY SERPENT D1. Perhaps we're dealing with similar Ø6mm micro-drivers, but N1 performs better, probably due to a well-implemented crossover.

Pros
Cons
  • Some of the most natural, yet fun-sounding earphones on the market right now.
  • Very loud out of the box - amplification is not required.
  • Despite being very light, they are highly well built. Definitely a premium product and will serve for a long time, if treated well.
  • Extremely comfortable to wear.
  • As usual, excellent packaging, accessories and presentation by VJJB.
  • The sub-bass could be deeper than it is right now, to make it even more universal.
  • VJJB should have used standard MMCX connectors instead of those proprietary ones, just so customizing would be more accessible.

Comfort & Fit

Extremely comfortable earphones. Their shape is perfect for the ears. It offers a firm hold and seal with all of the included tips. Just make sure you push them in properly to hear the actual bass richness. Once you learn to position these earphones correctly in your ears, you'll soon forget about their presence in your ears at all.

Lows / Bass

The lows are amazing (make sure you position the earphones properly). They are quick and precise, rich with mid-bass that feed the upper frequencies. I would say that they are perfect for most vocal-oriented music and acoustic instruments. I'm an individual who likes some extra beef in his bass, especially for electronic music (like industrial music) and kick-drum-rich music (like black/death metal). For those genres, the depth of the bass might not be enough. This bass, however, is as universal as it can get and will suit most listeners!

Mids / Vocals

Truth be told, the N1's mids helped me understand how bad V1S's mids actually sound. N1 shows that hard work brings results, and after the already-awesome VJJB K4S, they pretty much perfected the mids with the N1. These mids are as natural and pleasant as it gets. Absolutely no sudden peaks, no harshness and definitely no sibilance. They are warm, rich and detailed.

Highs / Treble

Just like the mids, the highs are overly bright and highly accurate. Their peaks are quite subtle, thus no harshness and no piercing sounds can be heard. Quite frankly, these are some of the most pleasant highs I've heard so far, along with TIN Audio T515, but the N1 get loud much easily. Do not fear any fatigue with these earphones!
