DOBOLY Z18

Dynamic Driver

$1~$5
2.0/5.0

The latest model by DOBOLY are the Z18. I wouldn't go as far as saying that they have the same drivers as DOBOLY Q18, because, from my observation, Z18's driver looks slightly bigger. Still, Z18's sound is very similar to Q18's sound, thus the review remains almost the same.

However, DOBOLY did improve the build quality, aesthetics and comfort with these earphones.

Pros

  • A very impressive sound quality for such dirt cheap earphones.
  • Extremely comfortable to wear. Doesn't come out easily.
  • A dedicated volume slider on the inline remote.
  • The remote has support for both legacy and modern mobile phones.

Cons

  • The mids and highs are slightly colored and sibilant. The highs tend to overpower the mids.
  • The splitter and the remote are the same thing here, which means the mic is too far from your mouth.

Comfort & Fit

Once you wear them properly, these earphones stay in place for as long as you need. They have the perfect size and shape that makes them perfectly comfortable.

Lows / Bass

The bass sounds great, but also slightly unstable. It shaky when it comes to deep bass content. Still, quite impressive when it comes from such cheap earphones.

Mids / Vocals

The mids sound colored and slightly sibilant. The mids and highs aren't properly balanced, as the highs constantly overpower the mids.

Highs / Treble

The highs are darkish and slightly harsh. They are not overly detailed, and could get unpleasant, but I wouldn't call them too bad.
