Altec Lansing's beautiful Muzx Core earphones do not provide the best build quality, or the most crystal clear mids, but they have enough warm bass to keep your attention. However, the highs are unpleasantly sharp and vocals sound sibilant and harsh.
Altec Lansing Muzx Core (MZX206)
ø10mm Dynamic Driver
Pros
- The sound is pretty loud, with a decent bass quality and depth.
- The included ear tips are something special indeed, if they fit you.
- The inline remote is clicky and very comfortable to use.
Cons
- The highs are quite sharp which causes vocals to be sibilant.
- The build quality is actually disappointing - plastic parts and a thick and stiff cable.

Comfort & Fit
Those smooth grippy tips are something special indeed, but there are still some comfort issues because the housings are quite large and relatively short. You will have to get a perfect seal to actually hear what these earphones can do.
Lows / Bass
The bass sound pretty good and there's even some sub-bass to keep you interested.
Mids / Vocals
The vocals sound harsh, too bright and off-tone. Unpleasant vocal sibilance can be easily noticed.
Highs / Treble
The highs overemphasized and piercing. The level of clarity is quite nice, but listening to music with these is very fatiguing.
