ROCK Mucu (RAU0515)
Ø12mm Dynamic Driver

A new product by ROCK, the Mucu sports earphones. These earphones are very loud and perform quite good with light music styles. However, ROCK will never reproduce the success of the legendary ROCK Zircon earphones if they keep releasing mediocre earphones.

Pros
Cons
  • Quite a good performer with light contemporary music genres, like pop and soft rock.
  • Ridiculously loud, no amplification needed at all.
  • More than decent build quality.
  • The overall sound is quite dark and unnatural.
  • An extreme peak near 600Hz. There's an overemphasis in the mids that sounds uncomfortably loud, almost headache inducing.
  • No ear tips other than the pre-applied ones.

Comfort & Fit

These earphones were designed to be comforable, and they are, but I couldn't get a proper seal without pushing the earphones in while listening to music.

Lows / Bass

The lows are very punchy and get quite deep, but you won't be able to enjoy its true depth because getting a proper seal with these is probably not possible.

Mids / Vocals

Overemphasized on an uncomfortable level. They are significantly louder than the lows or the highs which makes everything sound painfully loud, yet the detail sounds distanced and muffled.

Highs / Treble

The highs sound far away and are gentle on a non-impressive level. They get totally destoyed by the mids and even the lows.
