ROCK Y5 (RAU0529)
Ø12mm Dynamic Driver
The ROCK brand is a legend in our small community. They keep releasing stuff, probably hoping to replicate the continous success of ROCK Zircon, and they fail just about any such attempt. This time isn't not any different. This joint operation of ROCK with "LavaRock" (whoever that is) is nothing more than "just another earphones" compared to the much better (and cheaper) competition.

Comfort & Fit
Some of the most comfortable earphones I had the chance to wear. The included tips are just fine, but I found the ROCK Zircon's tips to be much more suitable for these earphones.
Lows / Bass
Almost non-existant. There is some upper-bass, so you can hear the kicks, but nothing below it. No actual bass. Anything that tries to go below it (i.e. heavy electronic music) will occasionally distort the whole sound.
Mids / Vocals
The mids are quite good but are brightened by the excess highs and lack of lows. The vocals are most of the time sibilant and won't suit most listeners.
Highs / Treble
Bright and detailed, yet pretty harsh and sibilant. There's some micro-detail and great subtleties, but it comes in the expense of over-brightened and harsh sound. Not too pleasant on the ears.
