2 x Ø8.5mm Dynamic Drivers
The next in line are the massive DT5. These earphones are heavy, probably the heaviest KZ earphones I've seen so far, and I bet it's because those are dual-driver earphones. The DT5 are among the best KZ earphones. The bass is punchy and deep, much deeper than RX, with pounding sub-bass. The mids are precise and clean, even if slightly pushed back, as is expected with V-shaped sound signatures. The highs are crisp and very enjoyable, not fatiguing at all. They may not be that pretty, but they are a KZ gem in my collection.
Package & Accessories

M, grey (translucent), Ø4mm red bores
S+L, black (translucent), Ø4mm bores
Build & Design
Metal, semi-open-back, Ø5mm nozzles, soft strain reliefs
TPE, soft strain reliefs
Silicone (grippy), soft, straight
TPE, 90° angled, short, soft strain relief
Comfort & Fit
The pre-applied tips are too soft and not grippy. Also, they are quite heavy to wear, so you'll need high quality tips to hold them firmly.
Lows / Bass
Massive beefy bass, with plenty of rumbling sub-bass filling the virtual soundstage. Perfect for electronic music.
Mids / Vocals
As expected, the mids take a backseat as with most V-shaped sound signatures, but the vocals are pretty accurate. Even if these earphones are more suitable for electronic music, you'll still enjoy vocals and acoustic instruments.
Highs / Treble
Crisp and sharp, even if slightly darkened by the bassy sound signature and there's no unordinary microdetail. Still, it's comfortable and enjoyable.
