Fokoos F1
Ø9mm Dynamic Driver

The first Fokoos product I decided to try is F1. I wasn't expecting much from a brand that is almost unknown, but these earphones were a pleasant surprise. Fokoos F1 come in a suspiciously simple package, but offer high sound quality - it's loud, it's clear, and it's very fun. Fokoos compromised on the sub-bass, even though low-end response suits these earphones perfectly. Anyway, highly recommended.

  • Excellent sound quality. The bass is punchy and fun, the mids are warm and clear and the highs are sharp and crisp.
  • Great volume levels without any amplification.
  • Super comfortable to wear.
  • The shirt clip and the velour-like pouch are a great addition to the whole experience.
  • The mid-bass gets quite excessive, but I think it's a matter of taste.
  • These earphones could benefit from a deeper sub-bass response.
  • They should improve their quality assurance. There is a slight channel disbalance, but it's not very noticeable.
  • The silicone-coated TPE cable is pretty, but not very usable. It's sticky like KZ's cables and tangles very easily.

Comfort & Fit

Very comfortable earphones. Their shape offers a firm hold and seal even with the included generic tips.

Lows / Bass

The bass is quite warm and punchy, but not too deep. The mid-bass sounds quite overemphasized most of the time, but it's a matter of taste.

Mids / Vocals

The mids and vocals are very good. They are warm, sometimes maybe even too warm because of excessive mid-bass, and slightly darkened. But still, they are very enjoyable if you're not a picky audiophile.

Highs / Treble

The highs aren't particularly detailed, but they are very comfortable to listen to.
